Pennsylvania Railroad Books

I can find very little info on these books, including how many were printed.

These little volumes were given away free to uniformed service members riding the Penn RR to their ports of debarkation during the war. All four of the books I own were copyrighted in 1942 and printed in November 1943.

The books measure just slightly less (one sixteenth of an inch) than 3" X 4", which makes them much smaller than the Quick Reader books (which were printed by Royce Publishing during roughly the same timeframe). They are about the same size as Little Leather Library books.
